ABSTRACT:
A linear motor for driving a dot printer head includes a carriage carrying print head. The carriage is displaced by a drive system on a linear guide rail. The drive system is a linear motor having an armature wound on a support situated on the carriage. The motor includes an armature winding in a magnetic circuit including the rail.
