A printer1includes a sheet storage unit6in which a stack of sheets can be set, a pickup roller12which contacts one side of the stack of sheets set in the sheet storage unit6, and a lid10which covers the other side of the stack of sheets. In this structure, each sheet7is conveyed toward a print mechanism unit14by the revolution of the pickup roller12. The printer1is provided with first ribs10aand a second rib3awhich forcibly curl the sheets7set in the sheet storage unit6in the sheet width direction.
