ABSTRACT:
A printer comprises a transfer assembly56for transferring a print image formed on an intermediate transfer sheet42to a print surface of a print medium100, a print tray12on which the print medium100is placed, and a retaining roller70installed slightly downstream of the transfer assembly56. The retaining roller70which is biased downward pushes the print medium100from above, to thereby prevent the print medium100from being lifted up.
