ABSTRACT:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition consisting essentially of a natural or synthetic tackifier, an elastomer comprising isoprene and piperylene and a solvent. The elastomer is preferably prepared from certain selected copolymerized C.sub.5 -hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon mixture containing C.sub.5 -monoolefinic hydrocarbons, C.sub.5 -diolefinic hydrocarbons (cyclic and acyclic), C.sub.5 -paraffins, C.sub.6 -aliphatics, and benzene.
The elastomers thus formed, when mixed with certain natural or synthetic tackifiers, have the required tack of pressure-sensitive adhesives.
