ABSTRACT:
A novel cured pressure-sensitive adhesive-coated sheet material comprising a flexible backing having bonded thereto a pressure-sensitive adhesive material containing copolymers of 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and glycidyl acrylate or glycidyl methacrylate. The monomer-mixture for the pressure-sensitive adhesive material may also contain minor amounts of monomers with acid anhydride groups or monomers with carboxyl groups. The curing of the pressure-sensitive adhesive material is accomplished by heating the copolymers to a temperature between 60.degree. and 100.degree. C., in the presence of a zinc chloride catalyst whereby the copolymers become cross-linked to obtain a solvent-, heat- and weather-resistant pressure-sensitive adhesive-coated sheet material.
