ABSTRACT:
A pressure bonded composite article and a method for producing it. The article is comprised of a layer of plain carbon steel containing up to 1.5% of carbide former, a layer of stainless steel, and a layer of not readily oxidizable metal therebetween. The method comprises the steps of superimposing the layers, heating them at a temperature of from 1200.degree. to 2400.degree.F, and subsequently hot rolling them.
