ABSTRACT:
A hunting or target practice blow gun includes a source of pressurized air or gas and a breath operated valve for connecting the pressurized gas to the blow gun tube to propel a dart or projectile with a force and velocity greater than is possible when using the user's breath alone. No direct connection exists between the mouthpiece and the blow gun tube, and no danger exists of the user swallowing the dart. Target practice darts of 10 to 15 grains may be shot up to 1000 ft. using a canister of gas pressurized to 120 psi.
