ABSTRACT:
A counter device is described for counting workpieces produced by stamping or blanking on a power press of the type having a ram powered by a flywheel through a clutch and crankshaft with the flywheel being powered by an electric motor. The counter is arranged to count only workpieces actually produced and operates by detecting cyclic enegy losses of the flywheel during the actual production of a workpiece.
