ABSTRACT:
The insulation displacement terminal3is retained on the terminal retainer portion5of the main housing6. The lead12of the insulation displacement terminal3is soldered to the first surface10aof the circuit board10through the bottom plate13of the main housing6and the circuit board10, which is held in the second retaining space11between the main housing6and second cover housing8. After the insulation displacement terminal3in such a subassembly state is connected by insulation displacement with a desired portion of the insulated wire2, the first cover housing7is combined with the main housing6. The receiving portion44of the second cover housing8receives the insulation displacement load via the bottom plate13of the main housing6and the circuit board10. This enables the inadvertent bending of the bottom plate13and circuit board10to be prevented, the reliable insulation displacement connecting of the connector with the insulated wire to be attained, and the so-called in-housing insulation displacement connecting of the connector with the insulated wire to be substantially carried out.
