ABSTRACT:
A composition and process for the preservation of biological specimens in which specimens are immersed in a preservative obtained from a starch glycerite solution that has been slowly heated to a temperature above 130.degree. C. to achieve a long-range, non-toxic preservative in which the natural color of a marine specimen can be preserved indefinitely.
