ABSTRACT:
A solid combination of elemental sulfur and an inorganic support material (preferably alumina), is contacted with at least one liquid C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 alkane and/or cycloalkane, followed by substantially removing the C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 hydrocarbon from the thus-contacted solid combination of elemental sulfur and inorganic support. This process improves the trialkyl arsine absorption capacity of the solid combination.
