ABSTRACT:
Improved polyarylate color is achieved by dissolving in the polyarylate-forming reaction mixture a cobalt salt of an ester of a C.sub.3 to C.sub.20 aliphatic or iso-aliphatic hydrocarbon. The cobalt salt is preferably predissolved prior to addition to the reaction mixture.
