ABSTRACT:
Novel polymers of carbon monoxide with styrene and/or with one or more substituted styrenes having a M.sub.n >30,000 are prepared by contacting the monomers with a catalyst composition formed from a palladium compound, a strong acid with a pKa less than -3, a nitrogen bidentate ligand, and an organic oxidizing agent.
