ABSTRACT:
Carbamates are prepared from organic carbonates and aromatic amines in the presence of zinc, tin or cobalt salts of monovalent organic compounds having a pKa value of less than 2.8 and compounds having more than one carboxyl group per molecule and oxides, sulfides and carbonates at a temperature of at least 200.degree. C.
