ABSTRACT:
((6-(Substituted phenoxy)-2-pyridinyl)methyl)-3-(2,2-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1-ethenyl)-2,2-di methylcyclopropane carboxylates and the geometric and optical isomers thereof are prepared by the reaction of an appropriate cyano((6-(substituted phenoxy)-2-pyridinyl)methyl)-2,2-dimethyl-3-cyclopropane carboxaldehyde with tetrakis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-dithioetane. These compounds exhibit a high degree of insecticidal activity and are so employed.
