ABSTRACT:
Essentially spherical precipitated silica beads, well adapted for the reinforcement of elastomeric matrices, have a mean particle size of at least 80 .mu.m, a BET specific surface area ranging from 60 to 130 m.sup.2 /g, a fill density in packed state ranging from 0.28 to 0.37, and a total pore volume ranging from 1.6 to 3.3 cm.sup.3 /g.
