ABSTRACT:
A pre-lube device for internal combustion engines. A quantity of oil, heated if desired, is stored in a chamber. Upon activation of the ignition for the engine, an electromagnet is energized, releasing a holding device for a coiled power spring which allows the spring to fully extend. The extending spring drives a piston located within the oil chamber to a fully extended position, thereby forcibly evacuating the oil from the chamber through a conduit into and throughout the engine galley in order to fully lubricate the engine prior to start, for the purpose of minimizing wear on the engine.
