ABSTRACT:
In raw-edge power transmission belts the tensile cords is covered with a thinly compressed layer composed of nonwoven fabric and elastomer matrix permeated therethrough at the tooth bottoms, and the nonwoven fabric is diffusedly mixed for reinforcing an elastomer matrix in the tooth parts.
In the method of manufacture, the outer cylindrical circumference of the internal die along which toothed faces are formed are covered with nonwoven fabric under non pressure, and the tensile cords are wound spirally. Hereafter, dies are set up and elastomer material is injected and hardened. A transmission belt is drived by slicing roundly a cylindrically shaped body derived in these processes.
