ABSTRACT:
Power tool1may include table5on which work W is positioned. A portion of a circular blade3protrudes above table5. Circular blade3may be driven by a motor. The motor may be controlled by a control device90. Work W is cut by means of an operator sending work W positioned on an upper face of table5in the direction of the circular blade3while circular blade3is being driven by the motor. Power tool1may include first radar device86and second radar device87for monitoring a predetermined area in the vicinity of circular blade3. First radar device86may detect whether objects other than work are present in the vicinity of a outer edge of circular blade3. Second radar device87may detect the location of objects moving within the predetermined area in the vicinity of circular blade and detects the speed at which the objects are moving in the direction in which work is sent. Control device90may cause an emergency halt of the motor in the case where first radar device86detects that an object other than work is present in the vicinity of the outer edge of circular blade3. Further, Control device90may cause an emergency halt of the motor in the case where an object detected by second radar device87has a predetermined positional relationship relative to circular blade3and the detected speed exceeds a predetermined value.
