A power tool1is connected to a battery pack5including an overcurrent detector533which detects overcurrent of a battery module51and outputs a detection signal, and an overdischarge detector532which detects overdischarge of the battery module51and outputs a detection signal. The power tool1includes a motor2which is driven by electric power supplied from the battery pack5, a trigger switch31for setting the power supply from the battery pack5to the motor2in ON/OFF state, and an FET410which sets the power supply to the motor2in ON/OFF state on the basis of the detection signal from the overcurrent detector533or the overdischarge detector532.
