ABSTRACT:
A power device for an automotive vehicle includes an interlock switch1,a crash sensor2for detecting an impact of an automotive vehicle, an interlock relay3controlled and turned ON and OFF by the interlock switch1,and a contactor4for interrupting an output circuit11when the interlock relay3is turned OFF. In the power device, when the interrupting signal is outputted from the crash sensor2,or when the interlock switch1is turned OFF from ON, the contactors4are turned OFF to interrupt the output circuit11.Further, the power device has a switching element6connected to exciting coils4aof the contactors4in series and is turned ON and OFF by an interrupting signal from the crash sensor2.When the crash sensor2outputs the interrupting signal, the contactors4are turned OFF by the switching elements6.
