ABSTRACT:
A motor controller (10) employing a triac (12) through which power is supplied to a motor (18) and wherein the open circuit voltage appearing across the triac (12) controls the operation of a timing circuit which triggers on the triac (12) at a time following turn off which varies inversely as a function of the amplitude of the open circuit voltage of the triac (12).
