The handle member is pivotably secured to the first transverse member. A second transverse member is secured to the handle member and removably secured to the canoe. The handle member is adapted to be generally horizontal by including an obtuse angle. The obtuse angle is reinforced as by a truss. The hook member is adapted to mate with and engage a hook receptacle secured to the handle member.
