ABSTRACT:
An extensible support leg for a portable stand or support, in particular a tripod, comprises a plurality of pairs of parallel elongate leg members arranged in two or more planes, adapted such that the leg is extensible by relative sliding movement between pairs in respective first and second planes, and means for releasably locking the leg members in any desired position, each pair of leg members being spaced apart at their ends by rigid spacers, forming a box-sectioned portion, at least one of said spacers having through holes for slidably receiving a second pair of leg members.
