ABSTRACT:
A relatively light, portable saw mill arrangement provided with a pair of axially mounted saw blades. A specially designed narrow log carriage runs on a track placed beneath the axial plane of the saw blades, and passes entirely between the axially mounted saw blades so that, after the final pass lumber of the order of 4".times.4" is all that remains on the carriage. A hydraulic dogging arrangement holds the log in place on the carriage during the sawing operation.
