ABSTRACT:
Therapeutic compositions and methods for using same for treating skin conditions and diseases are disclosed. Treatable skin conditions and diseases include, for example, acne vulgaris, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema (atopic dermatitis), psoriasis, photo-aging and actinic keratosisacne vulgaris, psoriasis, photo-aging and eczema. Therapeutic compositions disclosed are derived fromPoriferaspecies, specifically sponges, and more specifically fresh water sponges. One disclosed embodiment is derived fromSpongillaspecies and is formulated with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.
