ABSTRACT:
A pool insulation system including storage means2for storing a plurality of buoyant articles50, first transfer means30for transferring the buoyant articles from the storage means2to a pool1and second transfer means3,4for transferring the buoyant articles from the pool to the storage means2. The second storage means comprises a flexible boom3and a motorised craft4manoeuvrable around the pool with the boom attached thereto so that the buoyant articles50on the surface of the pool are contained in an enclosure defined by the flexible boom. Means are provided to change the length of the flexible boom on the surface of the pool1. The invention also relates to a method of removing buoyant articles from the surface of a pool1, an automatic boom deployment system for a pool, pool apparatus and a pool docking system.
