ABSTRACT:
The present invention10discloses a pair of end heads28, 30that are interconnected onto the inwardly disposed tube assembly26to form the pool cover12storage reel. Hand wheels32are rotationally attached to tube assembly26by end tubes36on the outside of the end heads28, 30.Each of the end heads28, 30includes a pair of casters40mounted to the bottom surface of the end head. The tube assembly26consists of five components, a center tube34,two outer tubes36and two end caps42.The center tube is of larger diameter and allows for the two outer tubes to be telescopically inserted into the opposing distal ends. The cylindrically shaped tubes include mating male48and female46extrusions along the surfaces to ensure joint rotational movement of the tube assembly. The telescoping tubes26include a series of holes38along the surface creating cavities and providing convenient and efficient means to store the straps, springs or other anchoring means that are positioned around the perimeter of the covering.
