ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to polyurethane foam plastics having a density of from about 7 to about 100 kg/m.sup.3 which contain from about 0.1 to about 5 mVal/g of mobile ions consisting of cations and/or anions. The polyurethane foams are suitable as ion exchange media or as substrate for the propagation and cultivation of plants.
