Polysiloxane phosphoramide fire retardants are provided having the basic structural unit:wherein,Y is O or S;R′ is selected from a saturated or unsaturated alkyl, an aryl, a heterocyclic, and a cycloaliphatic;R is selected from H, a saturated or unsaturated alkyl, an aryl, a heterocyclic, and a cycloaliphatic;X is selected from H, a saturated or unsaturated alkyl, an aryl, a heterocyclic, and a cycloaliphatic;n is selected from 0 to 500; andχ is selected from 1-500.
