ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a polyphenylene sulfide film which consists essentially of a resin composition containing polyphenylene sulfide as major constituent, in which fine particles with an average particle size of 0.05-3 .mu.m are dispersed, the fine particles having a single particle index of not less than 0.5. The polyphenylene sulfide film of the present invention is excellent in not only the slipping property but also the number of electrical insulation defects are extremely small, so that the film of the present invention is useful for the dielectric film of film capacitor with stable initial characteristics. Further, since the film of the present invention is excellent in the slipping property and surface smoothness, so that it is useful as a base film for magnetic recording media with excellent magnetic conversion characteristics and excellent drop out characteristics.
