ABSTRACT:
Novel polypeptides, designated hirullins, have a strong antithrombic activity and can therefore be used for the therapy and prophylaxis of thromboses. Said compounds are isolated from the leech Hirudinaria manillensis or are produced by conventional peptide synthesis or by recombinant DNA techniques.
