ABSTRACT:
A supported Ziegler catalyst prepared by a process comprising treating a magnesium containing support material with a titanium compound in the presence of a tin compound having the formula Sn(OR').sub.m X.sub.4-m wherein R' is a hydrocarbyl radical, m is 0-4 and X is halogen. The catalyst is used with a conventional co-catalyst e.g. a trialkyl aluminium compound.
