ABSTRACT:
Polymeric hindered secondary phosphonates which have the repeating structural unit of the formula ##STR1## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or alkaryl, A is alkylene, E is alkylene or phenylene, p is 0 or 1 and n is 2 to 50 are useful as stabilizers for organic polymers to counteract the degradative effects of heat, light and air.
