ABSTRACT:
There is provided a cholesterol reducing agent which contains as an active ingredient an anion exchange resin having a functional group of an imidazolium salt represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein the substituents R.sub.1a through R.sub.4a and X.sup..crclbar. are as defined in the specification and claims.
The cholesterol reducing agent according to the present invention has a high selectivity for the adsorption of bile acids and has no bad smell.
