Polymer compositions comprising .alpha.-olefin polymers and a minor proportion of synthetic basic zeolite are stabilized against the harmful effects of corrosion of metal surfaces when processed through mechanical equipment such as molds and extruders where the composition normally contacts metal surfaces.
