ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing low molecular weight polyketone polymers is described, wherein carbon monoxide is combined with ethene and/or propene and optionally in addition to one or more other .alpha.-olefins, by contacting the monomers in the absence of hydrogen with a catalyst containing a Group VIII metal and a tetra(sec-alkyl)bisphosphine ligand.
