ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a high molecular weight polyethylene terephthalate composition comprised of a plurality of polyester chains wherein a substantial number of said chains have at least one end group corresponding to a formula selected from the group consisting of ##STR1## said composition having a reduced acetaldehyde generation rate.
