ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to new polyethylene glycol derivatives.
These compounds correspond to the general formula: ##STR1## in which R denotes an alkyl and/or alkoxymethyl and/or alkenyloxymethyl radical or a mixture of these radicals, n denotes an average number of units from 20 to 500 and preferably from 30 to 200, and x and y denote average numbers of units from 0 to 8, it being possible for (x+y) to vary from 1 to 8.
They can be used in cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions, in particular as thickeners.
