This invention relates to novel fiber forming polyester compositions that exhibit improved whiteness by incorporating derivatives of dibenzoisoquinolinediones of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen, cycloalkyl, allyl, alkyl, aralkyl, alkoxyalkyl or cycloalkylalkylene;
