ABSTRACT:
Novel crystalline copolymers having heat deflection temperatures in excess of 305.degree. C. and prepared from hexamethylene diamine, trimethylhexamethylene diamine and either mixtures of terephthalic acid and adipic acid or mixtures of terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid and adipic acid. The high heat deflection of these polyamides enables them to be used in applications such as a hood for an automobile, a shroud for a lawn mower, chain saw guards and in electrical connection applications.
