A poly-.epsilon.-caprolactone resin having an enhanced stability to hydrolysis is obtained by ring-opening polymerization of .epsilon.-caprolactone with 0.01 to 5.0% by weight, based on the .epsilon.-caprolactone, of an epichlorohydrin-bisphenol A type epoxy compound of the formula: ##STR1##
