ABSTRACT:
A technique for notifying a person who is engaged in a telephone call with a second person that a third person is calling him or her is disclosed. In particular, the illustrative embodiments wait for an “appropriate opportunity” to notify person101-1of the arrival of the incoming message from person101-3.For example, the appropriate opportunity is chosen so that it is, at least potentially, less disruptive to the conversation between person101-1and person101-2than would an arbitrarily-timed notification.
