A polar modulation transmission apparatus is disclosed, which reduces the circuit scale by removing isolators and which reduces the heat loss of a power amplifier. In this apparatus, current detecting section130detects current value Icc of current flowing from power supply voltage section120to power amplifier180, and power control section140outputs control signal S31to power apply section150based on power control signal S30to be inputted and current value Icc. Power apply section150forms amplitude modulation signal S13by multiplying baseband amplitude modulation signal S11by control signal S31, and regulator160supplies to power amplifier180power supply voltage S22converted into power supply voltage S21by amplitude modulation signal S13. Power amplifier180obtains RF transmission signal S15by amplifying the power of phase modulation high-frequency signal S14as the power supply of power supply voltage S22.
