ABSTRACT:
A pneumatic tire1having a toroidal carcass3and a belt7consisting of belt layers5, 6arranged in the outer circumferential side of a crown portion4of the carcass3. Between the adjacent belt layers5, 6, the cords8, 9are crossed with each other with respect to an equatorial plane E of the tire to form cross belt layers. The widest belt layer6is a folded belt layer having a body portion10and a folded portion12. A cord9constituting the folded belt layer6is an organic fiber cord. A narrow belt reinforcing layer14of rubberized cords13is arranged at least immediately below the width terminal end11of the body portion10of the folded belt layer6which terminal end11abuts on the folded portion12.
