ABSTRACT:
An apparatus arranged to handle a disc having an engaging portion which is provided with an engaging hole, including a disc rotating spindle having a flange and engageable with the hole at the engaging portion of the disc, a disc holder movable between a first position for receiving the disc and a second position for positioning the received disc at a predetermined position relative to the spindle, an outer cover movable for moving the holder from its first to its second position, a pressing member disposed on the outer cover for pressing the engaging portion of the disc against the flange of the spindle, a latching member for latching the cover at a position where the holder is moved to its second position, and a control member operatively connected with the latching member for controlling the pressing member in response to the latching operation of the latching member.
