ABSTRACT:
A plate supplying apparatus1allows, when taking out a plate P from a cassette2and transporting the plate toward an image recording apparatus8,a support section33to operate such that the pivot angle of the support section33follows an optimum path based on the type of a plate P to be transported. In addition, upon control of the pivot operation of the support section33, it is not necessary to control the pivot position of the support section33,and a rotation drive pulse RP is easily generated so as to synchronize with a linear motion drive pulse DP outputted from a control section of the image recording apparatus8. In the plate supplying apparatus1,when a plate P stored in the cassette2is held via suction, only suction pads31are brought into contact with a plate P to be transported, and when the plate P is transported by transport rollers51and52,the suction pads31do not contact with the plate P.
