ABSTRACT:
A temperature-sensitive plasmid which is capable of autonomous replication inEscherichia coliK-12 at 10–30° C., but, at a temperature of 33° C. or more, is incapable of autonomous replication inEscherichia coliK-12 or is distributed unhomogeneously upon the cell division ofEscherichia coliK-12, thereby not to be stably carried within cells ofEscherichia coliK-12 under said temperature, and which is incapable of autonomous replication in a microorganism belonging to the genusEscherichiaother thanEscherichia coliK-12 or is distributed unhomogeneously upon cell division of said microorganism at any temperature, thereby not to be stably carried within cells of said microorganism.
