ABSTRACT:
Planar casting with a regularly textured surface on at least one side. A self-supporting planar casting made of polymer material and a process to produce the same are described. The planar casting contains at least one inert additive in an amount in the range of 0.001 to 5% by weight. At least one of it surfaces made from polymer forming the casting is textured by regularly arranged elevations in predominantly longitudinal and transverse direction of largely uniform configuration having a ratio of minimum diameter (d.sub.min) to maximum diameter (d.sub.max) in the range of ##EQU1## an average diameter (d.sub.m) of ##EQU2## in the range of 10 to 800 .mu.m. The elevations having a height in the range of 0.01 to 15 .mu.m.
