ABSTRACT:
A piston engine having a reciprocating piston, which is journalled in a radial direction with respect to the direction of translation by means of at least one dynamic groove bearing located within the piston and is separated from a compression space by an annular sealing gap at an outer surface of the piston. The piston engine is suitable for use in compressors and cryo-coolers, more particularly for cooling of computer processors.
